Overview
Seracade ("the Service") is operated by Seracade ("Operator"). By accessing or using seracade.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Seracade is an LLM cost optimization proxy. It operates in two modes:
- B2B Proxy (BYOK): You route your LLM API calls through Seracade using your own API keys. Seracade logs call metadata, replays requests against cheaper models, and generates savings reports.
- Seracade Chat: A consumer chat product at seracade.com/chat where you interact with AI models through Seracade's infrastructure.
Acceptable Use
- You must comply with the acceptable use policies of the underlying LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) when routing traffic through Seracade.
- You may not use Seracade to circumvent rate limits, abuse provider APIs, or violate any third-party terms of service.
- You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to transmit harmful, abusive, or fraudulent content.
- You may not resell access to the Service without written permission from the Operator.
API Key Responsibility (BYOK)
When using Seracade in BYOK mode, you provide your own API keys. You are solely responsible for:
- The security and confidentiality of your API keys.
- All charges incurred on your provider accounts as a result of traffic routed through Seracade.
- Ensuring your API keys have appropriate permissions and spending limits configured at the provider level.
Seracade identifies customers via a SHA-256 hash of the Authorization header. Raw API keys are never stored or logged. However, keys are transmitted in-flight through the proxy to reach the upstream provider. See the Security page for details on credential handling.
Proxy Limitations
- Seracade is a pass-through proxy. It does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or performance of upstream LLM providers.
- The Service adds minimal latency but does not warrant zero-impact on response times.
- Request and response bodies are logged for audit replay purposes with a 30-day TTL. If this is incompatible with your data handling requirements, do not use the Service.
- Seracade may modify routing of requests when optimization mode is enabled. You can disable optimization at any time.
Service Availability
Seracade does not offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA). The Service runs on Cloudflare Workers and benefits from Cloudflare's global infrastructure, but the Operator makes no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, or response time. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or factors beyond the Operator's control.
If the proxy is unreachable, your application should fall back to calling LLM providers directly. Seracade is not designed to be a single point of failure in your stack.
Billing & Payment
B2B Proxy pricing:
- Seracade charges 15% of the per-call cost savings delta when routing to a cheaper model. If Seracade does not save you money, you do not pay.
- Charges accrue only after the $500/month threshold is reached. Below that threshold, the Service is free.
- Payments are processed via Stripe. You agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Seracade Chat pricing:
- New accounts receive $1.00 in free credits.
- Additional credits are available at $5.00 per tier.
- Chat credits are non-refundable. Unused credits do not expire.
- Credit balances are tracked server-side. Seracade reserves the right to adjust balances in cases of billing errors or abuse.
Data Handling
Seracade logs API call metadata (model, token count, cost, latency) and request/response bodies for audit and replay purposes. Metadata is retained for 90 days (report generation). Request/response bodies are retained for 30 days (audit replay). All data is stored in Cloudflare KV with automatic TTL-based expiration.
For Seracade Chat, conversation content is stored in your browser's localStorage only. Seracade does not store chat messages server-side. Usage statistics (cost, message count) are tracked server-side.

Termination
- You may stop using Seracade at any time by removing the proxy configuration from your application.
- The Operator may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or non-payment.
- Upon termination, logged data will expire according to the standard retention schedule (30-day and 90-day TTLs). You may request immediate deletion by emailing alex@seracade.com.
- Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- The Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- The Operator's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Seracade in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- The Operator is not liable for any costs, damages, or charges incurred on your LLM provider accounts, whether or not traffic was routed through Seracade.
- The Operator is not liable for the content, accuracy, or legality of outputs generated by LLM providers.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Changes to These Terms
The Operator may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account or posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the United States. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
